Sometimes soldiering on is not an option and last week was one of those times - I languished on a cliff top on the very windy Isle of Wight nursing a very sore head. Consequently this catching up post will be a list of unmissables from the last fortnight!
Unmissable #1:
Have you booked for the conference? Word is places are selling fast. You'll only have yourself to blame...
Unmissable #2:
Unsnapped? The Agents Party is in the revamped Charing Cross Foyles on Friday 19th September. Re Blame in #1 - ditto.
Unmissable #3: DEADLINE 7th September - The Badge Competition. I'm sorry, I did miss a reminder about the conference scholarship deadline - I hope you made it.
Unmissable #4:
Interview with Robert Muchamore part 1 and part 2 - need I say more?
Unmissable #5:
ONE, TWO whole blog breaks! I'd take a long lunch rather than squishing into a coffee break.
Unmissable #6:
Relive the Croquetastic Picture Book Retreat with Shana Neiberg Shuschitsky - 'Weavers of words and Pictures unite!'
Unmissable #7:
Wonderful Guardian longlisted Candy!
Unmissable#8:
Fabulous new Featured `Illustrator Dave Gray makes a male hat trick - Paul Morton, Alex Wilson and now Dave - all in a row!
Unmissable #9:
Brilliant editing activity for the new term. Take note SCBWI network groups!
Unmissable #10: The lovely Christina! - Nicky's final ( just for now, I hope) debut author interview
Unmissable #11:
A newAgent Confidential with Penny Holroyde!
and finally Unmissable #12:
Ten huge congratulations for Mike Brownlow!
No apologies at all for over enthusiastic use of !!! in this unmissable list.
And next week, more unmissableness:
- A bumper summer special, so fitting for the publisher of the Phoenix Comic - 40 minutes of David Fickling wisdom on Ask a Publisher.
- Inspiration from Philippa and proofreading from Catriona
- And an interview with one of the stars of the Picture Book Retreat, Alex Deacon
Hope it's a good week!
